
Introducing Mr David Sullivan FCA AT11
David was born in Southend in 1943 and, other than when he was away at boarding school, has lived in the Southend area all his life.
He is married with a son and daughter and has four grandchildren. He comes from a well-known local family who owned a chain of wallpaper and paint shops in Southend and surrounding districts
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants having qualified in 1965 and spent the majority of his business life at N M Rothschild & Sons Limited in London where he ultimately became a Managing Director, having held many posts, including that of Finance and Personnel Director.
In addition, he was Chairman of the Rothschild Group's private bank located in the Channel Islands.
He continues to have a number of business interests and is a Director of a number of private companies, as well as being a Trustee of the British Neurological Research Trust; a charity supporting research into finding ways of repairing damaged spinal cords.
David is a committed Christian, and an active member of St George's Roman Catholic Church in Shoeburyness. His interests include golf, skiing, marathon running and travel.
